Cover Story
Andreev reflection refers to the electron-hole conversion at the normal metal-superconductor interface. The cover shows a novel type of Andreev reflection, dubbed “anomalous Andreev reflection”, in which two velocity components are inverted, giving rise to a peculiar trajectory in space (the red/blue arrow denotes the electron/hole). The right picture on the cover is the spatially resolved conductance spectra that exhibit a ridge shape, a clear manifestation of such anomalous Andreev reflection (See the article (No. 267262) by Wei Luo et al.).
